OS X 10.8.2 Brings Facebook Integration, iMessage Improvements, and More to Mountain Lion



In conjunction with their release of iOS 6 today, Apple has released a big update for OS X, bringing improvements for Facebook, iMessages, Game Center, and lots of bug fixes.
Some of the highlights on Apple's feature list include:
  • Single sign on for Facebook
  • Adds Facebook as an option when sharing links and photos
  • See Facebook friends' contact information and profile pictures in Contacts
  • Facebook notifications now appear in Notification Center
  • iMessages sent to your phone number now appear in Messages on your Mac (requires iOS 6)
  • You can now add passes to Passbook (on your iPhone or iPod touch) from Safari and Mail on your Mac (requires iOS 6)
  • FaceTime can now receive calls sent to your phone number (requires iOS 6)
